Bundaberg Rum Distillery won gold at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards in Launceston in the keenly contested Tourism Wineries, Distilleries and Breweries category.
The distillery was representing Queensland in the national competition after earlier winning state gold.
Queensland Tourism Industry Council chief executive and Australian Tourism Awards chair Daniel Gschwind said Bundaberg Rum were deserving recipients, showcasing themselves as the best in the country.
“Locals and visitors alike have been delighted by the Bundaberg Rum Experience and to see them recognised on a national scale is fantastic for the Bundaberg Region and for Queensland,” Mr Gschwind said.
Earlier this year the iconic business scooped three new awards for their distillery and Spirit of Bundaberg Festival at the Drinks International Spirits & Distillery Tourism Challenge 2019.
