Local Government Minister Stirling Hinchliffe is the latest community leader to get on board with the #lovebundy campaign.
Visiting today, Mr Hinchliffe caught up with Bundaberg Region Mayor Jack Dempsey to discuss the Bundaberg flood action plan.
While walking through the Council office, the pair posed for this picture (above) and the Minister said it's a terrific program.
#lovebundy is an initiative of Bundaberg Regional Council and local businesses to encourage people to shop locally and build community pride.
More than 40 businesses have joined up so far to be part of the successful promotion, which includes a mobile app.
The Bundaberg 10-year Action Plan is a roadmap that sets out the action required to reduce flood risks in Bundaberg.
It builds on projects undertaken by Council and harnesses the collective knowledge of the Bundaberg community, experts and government to prioritise cost-effective flood mitigation solutions.
Mr Hinchliffe also met with other stakeholders in Bundaberg today.
