The couple recently moved to Moore Park Beach from Mundubbera and appreciate the enthusiastic support they have received so far from locals.

Brett told Bundaberg Now he was working for Catherine's Lighthouse Bakery, which had outlets in Moore Park Beach and Burnett Heads, when the owner asked if he was interested in taking over at Moore Park Beach.

“Belinda and I jumped at the chance as we have just moved to Moore Park,” he said.

“It's now called Busy B'z Bakery as our names are Belinda and Brett.

“We've recently relocated from Mundubbera. We wanted a new start and one just fell into our laps.

“We've already been welcomed to the area on a grand scale and we hope to be here for the long haul.”

Brett said the bakery was officially open from 6am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

“But I generally open around 5am because I'm there anyways,” he said.

“Saturdays are 6am til 2pm and at this stage we will be shut on Sundays due to myself and Bel needing some form of rest.

“We are now doing two different-sized pies. The shop will have eftpos around the middle of next week.

“The bread is only $3.50 per loaf and we're looking at expanding our delicious sweets.”

Bundaberg Regional Council divisional councillor Jason Bartels welcomed Brett and Belinda to the community.

“It's terrific to see their enthusiasm and energy being invested into the business,” Cr Bartels said.

“I wish them all the best and encourage local residents to give them every support.”
