Agrotrend organisers have announced that popular country bush music band Simply Bushed will be coming to Bundaberg on 11 May.
The band posted on Facebook that “great mate Scott Lamond from ABC Wide Bay” last year invited them to host a bush dance in aid of Bush Kids.
Bush Kids is a not-for-profit organisation which has been supporting the health and wellbeing of children and families in Queensland’s regional, rural and remote communities for more than 80 years.
Scott said he’s a Friend of Bush Kids Bundaberg.
“Simply Bushed is one of the most popular and entertaining bush bands on the Australian festival scene,” he said.
“The boys have supported many charities and they will be wonderful ambassadors for Bush Kids. I’m excited that Bundy will get to see the band perform live at Agrotrend.”
The band said: “If you are within coooeee please come along and enjoy some bushie goodness and learn about what this great bunch of people are doing for kids living in remote areas of Queenland.”
Agrotrend will be held at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct on May 10-11 and Simply Bushed will perform 1.30pm to 4pm on Saturday, 11 May.
This year event-goers can expect lots of trade displays as well as the ever-popular alpacas.
There will be big machinery showing all the latest technology, a wood chopping competition, agility dogs demonstration, free workshops for farmers and of course, the famous rodeo.
It will be a fantastic event for the whole family.
