Bundaberg Sailing Club is trying to fund raise, create a social atmosphere and make the club better by having a Friday night Jag the Joker.

“We need as many people there as we can get to keep the sailing club afloat,” a committee member told Bundaberg Now.

“The club is open every Friday night from 4pm for a few drinks and nibbles. We are holding a fun Jag the Joker which will be drawn at 8pm every Friday night to hopefully get more people down to the club for a good social night.

“Every Saturday we have learn to sail for the kids in the mornings, starting at 9am,  then we have the pro sailors out racing about 12.

“It’s free for the public to come down and watch. The club is open Saturdays with food and drinks available and raffles to be in the running for.”

This weeks raffle is for a mud crab, $2 a ticket or three tickets for $5.

“We are hoping that if we get enough numbers on Friday nights we will start getting some bands down to play and have a dance to.

“So come and help make this Friday a winner and have some good old-fashioned fun.”

Bundaberg Sailing Club is at 66 Strathdees Road, Burnett Heads.
