Dreaming of a sea change? An application has recently been lodged with Bundaberg Regional Council to develop 32 new lots just metres from Kellys Beach at Bargara.
Planning and Development portfolio spokesperson Cr Ross Sommerfeld said the proposal was over 3.34 hectares of land on Causeway Drive, along Moneys Creek.
“There is no doubt that if this subdivision were to go ahead these lots would be highly sought after,” Cr Sommerfeld said.
“Situated within an existing residential area, this is one of the last remaining lots in Bargara so close to the coastline that is suited to a development of this scale.
“The applicant Brijay Pty Ltd is proposing to subdivide the block into 32 lots ranging between 551 square metres to 1995 square metres.”
The site is included within the medium density residential zone and it's proposed that the lots would be constructed in three stages.

This development appears to be in line with the other residential lots.
