The smell of dagwood dogs will soon fill the air when The Bundaberg Show comes to the region in just under two weeks.

The Show Society is gearing up for another massive event with more than 20,000 people expected to walk through the gates during the three-day extravaganza.

President Maree See said this year, event-goers could expect the same great exhibitions and activities but an added bonus would be included in ticket prices.

You could be walking out of The Bundaberg Show with the keys to a Hyundai Accent Hatch Sports.

“For the first time ever we will be giving away a car,” Maree said.

“Every full paying adult and every full paying pensioner will automatically go in the draw to win a Hyundai Accent Hatch Sports.”

“The winner will be announced in the main ring at 7 pm on Show Day.”

Car giveaway

Maree said Bundaberg Motor Group were the business behind the car prize which she hoped would give residents even more of an incentive to visit the show.

“This is a great draw-card for residents,” she said.

“Come along and enjoy all the great things on offer and maybe even go home with a car!”

Plenty to see and do

Maree said this year would mark the 126th show to be held in the region and people could expect yet another fantastic three-day event.

“There will be everything from guinea pigs, caged birds, lapidary, fruit and vegetables, pickles, handcraft and much more,” she said.

“Event-goers will also delight in the many great rides and the wonderful show atmosphere that comes with this annual event.”

The Bundaberg Show will be held at the Bundaberg Recreational Precinct off University Drive on May 29, 30 and 31 with gates open from 8 am daily.
