Bookings are being taken for spots at the upcoming Burnett Heads Car Boot Sale, offering residents the chance to declutter and turn items they no longer need into some bonus money.
The Burnett Heads Progress and Sports Association will host the Burnett Heads Car Boot Sale at Jack Norgate Oval on Saturday, 7 September from 7am to 1pm.
For people wanting to sell items, it simply costs $10 per car which enables them to sell out of the car boot – including setting up a table, rug or marquee in front of the car to display items.
“It’s that time of year when we all start looking at our annual spring clean and we find heaps of items we no longer really need,” Burnett Heads Progress and Sports Association President Chris McLoughlin said.
“While selling items at a garage sale is a great idea that involves lots of organisation and advertising, plus you have the inconvenience of strangers visiting your home address.
“Taking part in a car boot sale saves yourself the hassle of all that while supporting our community fundraising.
“All profits from our car boot sale will go back towards our community services and facilities such as the maintenance of the community hall.”
