The Department of Transport and Main Roads has advised of upcoming temporary closures of Bundaberg's Burnett Traffic Bridge for ongoing rehabilitation works.
Weather permitting, times where the bridge will be closed are as follows:
– Sunday 27 October, 6am to 4pm
– Sunday 10 November, 6am to 4pm
– Sunday 24 November, 6am to 4pm
– Sunday 8 December, 6am to 4pm.
The bridge will also be closed for night works for two weeks in October.
These works will occur between 8pm to 5am from Sunday 13 October to Thursday 24 October 2019, weather permitting.
TMR will update QLDTraffic with any additional closures.
The bridge will be open outside of these times.
While the Burnett Traffic Bridge closure is in place, a detour route via the Tallon Bridge will be signposted to assist motorists with the changed conditions.
Pedestrian access across the bridge will remain available while the works are underway.
Road users should allow additional time for their journey while the closures are in place.
