Police from the Bundaberg Crime Unit solved the case of the stolen guinea pig this week after Speedy was stolen from her cage at a learning centre in Thabeban overnight on 5 November.
On Thursday, 7 November detectives located Speedy at an address in Thabeban and were able to return her home, much to the delight of all children at the centre.
They were very relieved to see her safely back in her pen.
It's alleged the offender climbed a fence into the yard of the facility and stole the guinea pig from her cage.
As a result, a 15-year-old Bundaberg South girl was dealt with under provisions of the Youth Justice Act.
