Cr Judy Peters caught up with Mark Greasley from 4BU to talk about the incredible sights and sounds residents can expect at tonight’s Milbi Festival Gala Opening.

The free event, which is underway in Buss Park from 6 pm tonight, will feature the world premiere of music written exclusively to open the Bundaberg Region’s turtle season.

“It has new music for the milbi festival … by local and international composers and we’ll be featuring local school choirs and of course the incredible Topology – the festival’s ensemble in residence who have put some amazing images and music together,” Cr Peters said.

“Don’t forget that after that, at 7.45, in the Moncrieff is the Bandabara concert.

“Hundreds of school children have been rehearsing, there’s music commissioned especially for this, traditional words and dance and really award-winning presentations.”
