Angels Community Group have once again teamed up with the team at Loads of Love for their Christmas Hamper Appeal.

The organisation is well aware that Christmas time can be stressful for families that are doing it a little tough.

“Christmas is supposed to be a time of happiness and family togetherness, but we know that for a lot of families, it is a time of stress and worry,” Sue Tasker, Angels Community Group CEO said.

“Angels Community Group is again this year doing what we can to relieve some of this worry by providing Christmas hampers full of delicious Christmas treats and gifts to families that would ordinarily go without.”

Angels Community Group has partnered with the Loads of Love Appeal this year to help gather donations of food for its Christmas Hamper Appeal.

“The Loads of Love Appeal has become a trusted way for Queenslanders to channel their generosity to those that need it most and we are so pleased to be a part of the appeal again this year in the Bundaberg Region,” Sue said.

What is the Angels Loads of Love Appeal?

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Loads of Love Appeal.

After nine years, the appeal has collected 73,000 kgs of non-perishable food and thousands of dollars for grocery gift cards.

Through large-scale community support and corporate sponsorship, the appeal has collected and distributed more than $360,000 of food to more than 3,000 households across Queensland.

Last year the Angels Loads of Love initiative distributed 133 Christmas hampers and 200 gifts to local families.

Sue said the Christmas Hamper Appeal was powered by the generosity of the community, which the organisation depended on to continue its support for others.

“We are so pleased and grateful that the team at Heritage Bank Bundaberg have already jumped on board with the Loads of Love Appeal as well as both Walkervale and Bundabeg South State Schools,” Sue said.

“It is such a busy time of year for Angels and we greatly appreciate the support we are already receiving”.

Residents are invited to join the cause and help change someone’s life this Christmas.
