Pete O'Brien is launching his third album this Sunday 19 January at Cafe 1928.

XX is the third album for well know local artist and Bundy boy, Pete O’Brien.

Pete is an accomplished musician who loves to foster the music of young artists in the region.

Pete will launch his new album XX at 12 noon on Sunday, 19 January at Cafe 1928 in the Botanic Gardens.

Pete has two great albums under his belt, the first ‘ Strange Daze' was produced in Nashville, featured the song ‘We All Live In The Same Town' which he wrote for the Bundaberg and Queensland floods.

The song was picked up on UK Commercial Radio and Pete was asked by a talent scout to be part of the World Championships of Performing Arts in Los Angeles.

“Strange Daze” also featured the song “Red Dress” which was accompanied by a music video produced here in Bundaberg and spent a month in the Nashville Universe Top 40 Country Rock Charts.

Pete’s next Album, :LIFE: also did great things with his song ‘Growing Dust' spending two weeks in the Australian Top 40 Country Track Chart.

The album also featured a duet with fellow local Bundy musician Bre Ferguson, called ‘The Road’ and its animated music video was produced by Bundaberg Artist Jesse Wrangell.

This new album XX is different as it’s a double album of songs that are very close to Pete.

Pete said “it’s the songs I’ve always wanted people to hear”.

When asked how he came up with the name, Pete said: “It’s called XX because it has 20 songs and is released in the year 2020”.

The first Single from ‘Son Of Mine’ from XX hits radio on Tuesday, 21 of January and is a ballad that every father will connect with.

It is written from the heart and very powerful, it speaks of the pride a father feels seeing their sons grow into men.

More songs from this great album are scheduled to be released to radio in the coming months making 2020 an exciting year for Pete as well as his continued work with the talented youth in the Bundaberg Region giving professional advice on their musical adventures.

All are welcome to Café 1928 this Sunday when Pete’s third Album XX will be launched.

A selection of songs will be featured and special guest artists, Chris Dingley, Jorjah, Scott Astill will also delight audiences.
