Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery is calling for local artists to submit their work for the upcoming Here+Now 2020 exhibition.

Calling all local artists!

Through the upcoming exhibition Here + Now 2020, Bundaberg Regional Art Gallery is urging artists to submit their works encompassing the region's landscape.

According to marketing support officer Toni Schuch, the exhibition celebrated the strong and vibrant visual arts practices that exist in the Bundaberg Region.

“Here + Now 2020 provides an annual snapshot of our creative community,” she said.

Nicole Jakins, In Search of the Goddess (an imagined journey), 2018, copper, paper clay, mussel shells, leather, waxed linen thread, natural pigments (charcoal, eucalyptus tree sap) from last year's exhibition.

“Encompassing painting, drawing, photography, sculpture and digital works, the artworks in this exhibition will be chosen to ultimately reflect the ongoing relationships between these artists and the cultural landscape of the region.”

Toni said artists of all modes were invited to submit up to two works for possible inclusion in the showcase.

“We are looking for existing works made after June 2019 and collaborative works from two or more makers are welcome,” she said.

“This is the perfect opportunity to get your work out into the public arena to showcase your skill, talent your vision of our beautiful region.”
