Resignation takes on the classics at South Kolan Hotel

Resignation
Resignation will be playing live at the South Kolan Hotel on Friday night.

Talented duo Resignation have a passion for performing classic pub rock and are set to get the crowds dancing when they come to the region this weekend.

Resignation are made up of Brisbane musicians Adrian Roll and Josh Edwards who have a plethora of musical talent, playing keyboards, bass, saxophone and guitar.

Taking on South Kolan Hotel on Friday, the duo said they were excited to get their audience dancing with a good dose of Aussie rock on their set list.

“We are all about good old classic singalong pub rock, with lots of variety and something for everyone at our shows,” Adrian said.

“Expect lots of upbeat and high energy.”

Having both studied music at university, Adrian and Josh said their story together began after taking part in a few jam sessions.

“We had a few garage sessions and it just clicked,” Josh said.

“We decided to take the band live the day that Adrian had just handed in his resignation at an old job, so that’s when Resignation was born.”

Both musicians said their musical influences were of old and new.

“Everything from classical to hard rock and metal and everything in between-  Foo Fighters, Pearl Jam and Creedence would be at the top of the list,” Adrian said.

When it comes to performing, the duo said they loved everything about getting the good vibes from the crowd.

“It's all about the energy, especially when we get a room singing louder than we are,” Josh said.

“It’s always a good time for us and we’ve honestly never had a bad gig.”

Head along to the South Kolan Pub this Friday night to rock out with Resignation.
