If you are itching for an adventure or a new career, the Australian Defence Force is urging Bundaberg Region residents to look into their recruitment process.
While Coronavirus restrictions have limited tasks undertaken, an ADF spokesperson said job roles featuring a range of skill sets were still on offer.
“Australian Defence Force recruiters are normally face to face with the Australian community, visiting schools and hosting information sessions,” the spokesperson said.
“COVID-19 has put a stop to this, but it hasn’t put a stop to recruitment into the Navy, Army or Air Force.
“There are options for people with a broad range of skills and interests.”
Roles on offer:
- Information Systems Technician – Army https://www.defencejobs.gov.au/jobs/army/information-systems-technician
- Marine Technician – Navy https://www.defencejobs.gov.au/jobs/navy/marine-technician
- Communications Systems Operator – Army https://www.defencejobs.gov.au/jobs/army/communication-systems-operator
The ADF spokesperson said jobseekers did not require experience or qualifications to pursue an ADF career.
“The ADF pays you while you train and you can earn industry-recognised qualifications,” the spokesperson said.
Coronavirus recruitment precautions
In light of current events, Defence Jobs Australia is enhancing how they deliver information.
DFR will move to virtual YOU sessions, including online aptitude testing and phone career counselling sessions.
In the future DFR will also be conducting Australian Defence Force interviews using phone and video based services.
Where face to face interaction is required, recruiting centres across Australia are taking precautions in line with Government advice to ensure social distancing measures are applied.
All Recruiting Centres will be screening candidates using a questionnaire and conducting temperature checks on arrival.
