After having been through some recovery at Bundaberg RSPCA foster care, Chica is ready for a forever home.
Chica, the two-year-old Kelpie/Dogue De Bordeaux mix is a smart dog, loves food and has immense training potential.
Be warned, this cheeky pup loves to play (who doesn’t?) and her new owners would need to be home often to interact with her during the day, as she would easily get bored if left home alone.
With a strong attentive streak coming from her Kelpie heritage, someone with experience and the willingness to learn about crate training would be beneficial for Chica.
Chica gets on well with other dogs and the best match is likely to be someone her size or bigger, with the right mix of calmness and playfulness. She will however definitely need to meet before adoption, because she tends to come on very strong.
Despite her friendliness towards other dogs, she prefers to be around adults and older children, but small children can be too much fun for her and you’ll soon have more than one child to take care of.
A more experienced dog owning home would be ideal for Chica where she can run and play around the yard. Given training she could become an obedient and capable farm dog.
Her adoption fee includes her desexing, microchip and health check and makes sure she up to date with vaccinations, worming and flea treatments.
