Generator delivers innovative workshops

Tamar Boas is excited to deliver a new range of workshops at The Generator.

The Generator is collaborating with local talent to offer a range of innovative workshops, starting in September.

Community manager Tamar Boas said it was exciting to see the collaboration come together.

“At the Generator, we always look for creative ways to support regional businesses,” Tamar said.

“We offer flexible co-working membership options for people who look to ‘desk-share’ rather than rent an office.

“We also offer board room facility for hire and a podcast room in the historic clock tower building in the heart of Bundaberg.”

Some of The Generator’s innovative workshops include:

Public speaking bootcamp

Improve your public speaking skills and create more opportunities for yourself: a public speaking bootcamp with David Wise will be held on Saturday, 19 September.

“Being able to express your thoughts and ideas in front of others is still one of the most effective ways of building credibility, trust and good relationships in both business and your personal life,” David said.

David from Wise Words Communication is well known for his communication workshops and coaching, content writing, and marketing. He is also known as an MC/Announcer for many events in the Bundaberg region.

This workshop is suitable if you are a little shy, suffer from nerves, or just want to improve your public speaking game. The day is filled with interactive learning to help you grow in confidence, organise your speeches and presentations, and improve your delivery.

How to podcast

From 10 October, The Generator is presenting How to Podcast with Ellie D.

This six-week course takes participants from dreaming to hosting their own podcast.

Participants will be guided through all that is needed to create and host a podcast including equipment required, the art of storytelling, technical support, branding and publishing.

Ellie D is a radio guest, publicist and podcaster who moved to Bundaberg from Melbourne in 2018. As an experienced interviewer with more than 15 years as a HR / Management Consultant, Ellie has hosted four podcasts over six years mostly focused on the business world. Today she hosts Behind The Music with Ellie D, a podcast she self-funds and manages with a listenership that expands across Australia, Europe, the US and Canada.

Because of social distancing policies numbers are very limited for both workshops so booking is essential.

Anyone with questions about the Generator’s innovative workshops is encouraged to contact the team for more information. For the full details or to register, head to the website.

The Generator’s regular Tuesday Member’s Coffee is an open event and is a great opportunity to check out the space and meet the members. Every Tuesday at 10.30am.

Open Coworking Day is offered once a month. Get a free Day Pass and spend the day at the Generator. Limited tickets available here.
