Stroud Homes has been recognised among the best builders and taken out five awards at the annual HIA Sunshine Coast Wide Bay Housing, Kitchen and Bathroom Awards.

Stroud Homes Wide Bay won prizes for custom-built home up to $300,000, bathroom $20,001 to $40,000, outdoor kitchen, laundry and project home at the HIA Sunshine Coast and Wide Bay Awards in Maroochydore recently.

The annual HIA awards acknowledge the talents of designers, manufacturers and installers to plan safe, functional and innovative kitchens and bathrooms.

Stroud Homes Wide Bay co-owner Aletha Walters said it was nice to be recognised with the HIA awards as the local business continued to grow, and they were now one of the biggest home builders in the Bundaberg Region – currently putting down four slabs a week.

Some of Australia’s best kitchens and bathrooms have been recognised in the past by the HIA Kitchen and Bathroom Awards.

Kitchen and bathroom projects are judged on-site against criteria such as quality of workmanship, design appearance, innovation, movement and access.

Kitchen and bathroom design entries are judged on innovation, design, flair, lighting, movement, fixtures and fittings and presentation drawings.

HIA Sunshine Coast/Wide Bay branch manager Ken Smith congratulated the award winners for their designs and workmanship.

“The pinnacle in the residential building industry, HIA’s Awards program recognises builders and designers for superior workmanship and design excellence, innovation and housing technology,” he said.

After winning the regional HIA awards Stroud then went on to take out Project Home of the Year State Award, that was held at Brisbane Convention Centre on November 6.

Aletha said they were pleased to receive the accolade for the best Project Home of the Year in Queensland, and it showed the quality of work that came from within the Bundaberg Region.
