Paradise Markets celebrate 12 Days of Christmas

Paradise Markets
Paradise Markets at Bargara will celebrate the festive season with a 12 Days of Christmas event.

Paradise Markets will celebrate a momentous first year of operation with Christmas Celebration markets on Sunday.

The event is part of Bundaberg Regional Council's 12 Days of Christmas event calendar.

In addition to the usual market wares, Sunday’s event will also feature a visit from Santa Claus, displays from the Historic Motor Cycle Club of Queensland Burnett Heads and the Bundaberg Chapter of the American Car Club, and Christmas raffle prizes to drawn by Santa himself.

Entertainment will be provided by rock ‘n’ roll/pub rock/country music band Frost Bite.

Paradise Markets organiser Charmaine Martin conceded 2020 had not been the easiest year to establish the new markets, with COVID-19 bringing a promising early start in January to a grinding halt in March.

However, since resuming in June, the markets have gone from strength to strength, shifting from monthly to weekly and Charmaine said this weekend’s markets would offer plenty for all.

“We’ve got a lot of new stalls and a great variety of stalls overall – it’s a great place to do your Christmas shopping,” Charmaine said.

“We also have a competition for the best decorated stall on the day.”

The Christmas Paradise Markets are open from 8am to 1pm with the car and motorcycle displays arriving at 9am, Santa present from 10am-11am and raffles to be drawn at 11am.

Paradise Markets are located at 100 Hughes Road, Bargara.
