The popular musical Mamma Mia! was less than a week from being performed as part of a sellout Playhouse season in March when COVID hit.

Bundaberg audiences will now get the chance to see it on stage at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre.

“We can’t wait to bring Mamma Mia! to our Bundaberg audiences,” Director Bex Hutchins said.

“We started rehearsing in 2019 and now, finally, in 2021 we will bring it to the stage.

“By performing at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre we will have greater capacity so are delighted that extra tickets will go on sale today.

Mamma Mia! features a stellar cast of leading Bundaberg performers.

“We are looking forward to bringing this show to life – a mother, a daughter, three possible dads and a trip down the aisle you’ll never forget”.

“Over 60 million people worldwide have fallen in love with the characters, the story and the music that make Mamma Mia! the ultimate feelgood show and we are excited to (finally!) be bringing it to Bundaberg audiences.”

There will be six performances at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre: 7.30pm on 22nd, 23rd, 28, 29th and 30th January, with a matinee performance on Saturday 23rd January at 2pm.

“We expect the extra tickets will go quickly, so urge everyone to get in quick to book their tickets today,” Bex said.

Tickets go on sale January 4 at 9am online or at the box office at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre, 177 Bourbong Street, Bundaberg.
