Spend the afternoon enjoying Bubbles, Brie and Bingo overlooking the beach in support of Surf Woman of the Year entrant Jen Swan.

Bubbles, Brie and Bingo is one of the major fundraising events for Jen as she embarks on the journey to inspire the community, and she vies for this year’s Surf Woman of the Year.

Jen said tickets had been flying out the door, and it was nice to see locals supporting the cause.

Bubbles, Brie and Bingo will be held upstairs at Bundaberg Surf Life Saving Club with the doors opening at 2pm on 6 February and attendees receiving a complimentary glass of pink bubbles on arrival.

The afternoon will have action-packed bingo games with renowned Bundy Big Bingo caller, and club life member, Danny Carswell as he livens the atmosphere with winning suspense.

Jen said Bubbles, Brie and Bingo would be the perfect opportunity for friends to take in the beautiful views from the surf club, while enjoying a fun-filled afternoon, with bubbles and light refreshments.

Along with the Bubbles, Brie and Bingo fundraiser for Surf Woman of the Year, Jen initiated the Silver Salties program and it continues to grow week-on-week.

“We have so many things happening – it has been quite full on actually,” she said with glee.

“There were 45 participants on the beach on Monday – it’s going gangbusters and I think its one of the largest in Australia now.

“People have really taken to it, and there are new people each week.”

Jen said for community members interested in taking part in Silver Salties there was still plenty of time as the program runs until 22 March.

For those who can’t make the Bubbles, Brie and Bingo next weekend, Jen’s next Surf Woman of the Year fundraising event will be held during the Wide Bay Capricorn Branch Senior competition held at Nielson Beach on 27-28 February.

“This will be a good opportunity for people in the community to come down and watch what we do,” she said.
