Oceanfest Bundaberg returns to serve up seafood

Oceanfest Bundaberg returns
Oceanfest Bundaberg will have a menu based on locally caught seafood that has been developed so that restaurants, seafood van and stall operators can provide quality food choices to showcase our local fishing industry.

If seafood floats your boat, don’t miss this year's Oceanfest Bundaberg which returns next month.

Held in the picturesque Port Marina precinct, Oceanfest Bundaberg focuses on quality, local seafood, local wines, local beers, entertainment and a range of ocean orientated attractions, displays, demonstrations and workshops for all members of the family.

Event coordinator Glenn Hoffmann said it was fantastic news for not only lovers of seafood, but the whole community to see the return of the popular event.

“After COVID caused the cancellation of Oceanfest last year the Rotary Club of Bundaberg Sunrise members are pleased to be able to bring the event back to the community this August,” Glenn said.

“The 2019 event saw over 8000 people through the gates and raised over $22,000 for various local charitable causes and not for profit organisations.”

Oceanfest Bundaberg promotes the local, wild catch seafood, harvested from the Southern Great Barrier Reef and Bundaberg waters.

Developed by the Rotary Club of Bundaberg Sunrise, this event demonstrates the Bundaberg community's pride in its seafood and tourism industries.

Throughout the Port Marina venue, a wide range of culinary choices and tastes will be available to enjoy.

A menu based on locally caught seafood has been developed so that restaurants, seafood vans and stall operators can provide quality food choices to showcase the local fishing industry.
