This weekend's Bundaberg Christian College Festival and Preptastic Spectacular will provide country fair style entertainment for the entire family while also helping the school to mark 25 years.

The festival, to be held from 9 am to 3 pm Saturday 11 September, will feature all day live entertainment, rides and slides, market stalls, food vans, the College’s agriculture farm, RACQ Lifeflight, Crimestoppers, Elliott Heads Rural Fire Brigade and a free petting zoo and free face painting.

A highlight of the day is Preptastic, a free program full of exciting activities for children approaching Prep in the next few years.

Bundaberg Christian College Principal Paul Thompson said this year’s festival was significant because it coincided with the College’s 25 Year Anniversary.

“Over the last 25 years our College has grown to a thriving and vibrant community that brings together students and families from right across Bundaberg,” Mr Thompson said.

“We are proud of our school and are excited to welcome people and families of all ages to our Festival, for what will be an entertaining, positive and fun-filled day,” he said.

Bundaberg Christian College was established in 1996 with 39 students and two teachers, and today has grown to over 780 students from Prep to Year 12, an Early Learning Centre and a seven-hectare campus in Ashfield.

Mr Thompson said Bundaberg Christian College’s 25-year anniversary and Festival was a celebration of the achievements all students and alumni, and the dedicated staff, families and wider community who have supported the College.

“Our 25-year anniversary is an opportunity to remember and give thanks for the past 25 years, and the chance to look ahead to endless possibilities for the next 25 years,” he said.

The Festival is a free event and unlimited all-day ride passes can also be pre-purchased at www.bcc.net.au/community/bccfestival

Bundaberg Christian College is located at 234 Ashfield Rd, Ashfield.
