Local yoga instructor Tamar Boas is encouraging the community to get moving, offering free yoga classes as part of Veteran's Health Week.

Through Frontline Yoga, Tamar will be hosting two sessions for the region's veterans and the whole community to participate in, with no experience necessary.

“Each session will be made up of three parts including information on Frontline Yoga and why yoga is important in physical health,” she said.

“I will also teach you how to use props to best support yourself through a yoga practice.

“Each participant will receive a yoga mat, block and strap to continue their yoga journey after the session.”

Tamar has been teaching yoga since 2017 and has been an active part of Bundaberg Regional Council's Be Active Be Alive program, delivering yoga classes in parks around the region.

“I love the Wide Bay region and enjoy living here and connecting with the locals and the visitors through yoga,” she said.

“Every day I look for new adventures and discovering what else is possible.”

The upcoming Frontline Yoga sessions will be held at Elliott Heads Hall on Saturday, 16 October and 23 October.

Spaces are limited and registration is required.
