Hinkler QCWA are hosting their final two Hoy and Cent sales for the year.

The Hinkler QCWA is hosting its final Hoy and Cent sale for the year to raise much needed funds for the community.

The two Hoy and Cent sales are being held on Saturday, 27 November and Saturday, 11 December with the Hinkler QCWA branch looking forward to raising funds to support local organisations.

While previously donating to Red Cross, CareFlight and the local soup kitchen, the Hinkler QCWA uses these events to support other QCWA branches and projects.

Hinkler QCWA Secretary Cheryl Parton said the funds raised previously had gone to a range of local charities and organisations.

“Our Hoy and Cent sale days support many local organisations, many of whom do not receive any government assistance,” Cheryl said.

“As well as supporting local charities we also donate to RFDS, Lifeflight and Red Cross and support the QCWA projects such as Public Rural Crisis Fund which donates and helps anyone in need, particularly from a disaster such as flood or fire, and the Aged Care Units in Tiaro.”

The next Hoy and Cent sale will be held at the North Bundaberg Progress Hall in Queen Street, North Bundaberg.

Doors open at 11.30 am and games commence at 1 pm with a range of prizes up for grabs, as well as jackpots and raffles.

“We pride ourselves with the array of prizes, jackpots and whip around for the games,” Cheryl said.

“Our guests will enjoy a delicious afternoon tea and of course the obligatory cup of tea.”

Entry to the event is $2 which includes homemade afternoon tea.

The events are usually held on the fourth Saturday of every month throughout the year.
