About 300 community members attended the Moore Park Beach Christmas Carols in 2019.

Moore Park Beach will be getting into the Christmas Spirit this Saturday with a market and carols event open to the whole community.

Christmas Markets will be held on the oval behind the Moore Park Beach Community Centre from noon, with the action moving into the Community Centre from 5.30 pm.

Moore Park Beach Community Association President Shanelle Pekin said the Moore Park Beach Christmas market and carols eventpromises to be fun for all the family.

“Christmas Carols, Santa’s arrival and fireworks are always family favourites, but this year we are adding to the Christmas fun with markets with lots of Christmas gift ideas,” Shanelle said.

“Every child under 12 receives a present and lollies from Santa and we will have candles from Battery World to add to the atmosphere.

“There will be plenty of food on offer too – with the Moore Park Lions having a barbecue during the day and night, and delicious desserts from the Community Association.

“The Christmas Markets will feature over 30 stalls with everything from jewellery to woodwork and there will be huge Christmas hamper raffle and ham wheel.”

Moore Park Beach Arts Inc President Trish Mears said the entertainment will be special this year.

“This year we have set up our very own Moore Park Beach Christmas Choir, led by Christie McLucas, and they are sounding fabulous,” Trish said.

“The Moore Park Beach Scouts will follow with some Christmas fun as well, and Pete and Evie from 2EZ will step it up a notch.”

Santa’s arrival will be a highlight for the children, with free gifts for all children under 12, followed by spectacular fireworks.
