Discover Mon Repos Guided Walks

If you are looking to get outdoors these school holidays, look no further than the Mon Repos Turtle Centre.

These holidays, free ranger guided “Discover Mon Repos” walks are on offer, with rangers welcoming visitors to enjoy everything the conservation park has to offer.

There are three walks to choose from, ensuring there is something for everyone:

Birds and beasties—discover birds and other animals that are found in the park.

Coastal systems—find out about the secret life of mangroves, salt marshes and sand dunes

Discover Mon Repos—rangers share their knowledge on the park and turtle conservation.

The walks will journey south along the trails and back via the beach, learning about the unique flora and fauna along the way.

They will also share some of the history of the region, such as how the Mon Repos name came about, the marvels of Bert Hinkler and the turtle conservation efforts led by Dr Col Limpus.

The duration of the walk is approximately 45 minutes, with participants being asked to arrive 15 minutes prior to the walk for check in at the Turtle Centre.

Sun safety is a must, including sunscreen, hat and sunglasses as well as a reusable water bottle and mosquito repellent.

Walkers should wear comfortable shoes and to bring a rain jacket if rain is predicted.

You can book your session here.
