A range of services and information for people with disabilities, their families, carers and the community will be showcased under the one roof when the Regional Disability Expo takes place on Friday.
The event will be held at the Bundaberg Multiplex and is aimed at bringing the community together to empower, learn, share and experience latest technologies.
It’s an event that was created by Sharon Fulwood after her personal experiences trying to navigate life with her two disabled children, Jake with Spina Bifida and Ryan with multiple conditions including high-functioning Autism.
When they were younger Sharon said she struggled to navigate the disability industry and find the much needed support her children required.
Now, armed with the countless years of insight and knowledge, Sharon is dedicating her time so that other regional parents and carers can easily find the support they desperately need by organising the Regional Disability Expo.
“It’s a much-needed event that has already had people registering early to attend with great anticipation,” she said.
