MasterChef Alumni and avid foodie Hayden Quinn visited the region as part of Bundaberg Tourism’s culinary campaign recently.

Keep an eye on Channel Ten's Taste of Australia with Hayden Quinn today at 4.30 pm which will feature some of the Bundaberg Region's culinary offerings and natural wonders.

MasterChef Alumni and avid foodie Hayden Quinn visited the region as part of Bundaberg Tourism’s culinary campaign and will share the stories of Lincoln and Luke from the Seafood Smokery, Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, the Steinhardt family of Macadamias Australia and the turtle rangers of Mon Repos Turtle Centre as part of the episode.

Taste of Australia with Hayden Quinn captures the rich stories of Australian food and drink lovers, producers, makers and more, by rolling up sleeves and getting hands dirty to truly discover the people behind the food and drink experiences and the places that make up our beautiful backyard.

With the TV series well into its fifth season, Taste of Australia with Hayden Quinn continues to capture the hearts of Australian’s, giving them a glimpse into some of the delicious and authentic experiences on offer in the Bundaberg Region, and in turn staying front of mind when they are planning their next holiday.

After airing to the nation, Bundaberg’s diverse culinary and natural wonders will be amplified across social media channels.

Recipes using local ingredients and short clips of the makers themselves will be shared across both the Taste of Australia with Hayden Quinn website and social media along with well-known travel partner, Wotif.com.

Bundaberg Tourism's CEO, Katherine Reid shared her excitement of welcoming the broadcaster into region.

“Here in Bundaberg we are so fortunate to have many passionate makers, distillers, producers and fishermen right here in our backyard who are working every day to deliver mouth-watering flavours to locals and visitors alike, 365 days of the year,” she said.

“Investment with broadcast media partners like Taste of Australia with Hayden Quinn is a brilliant way to showcase the destination to potential visitors.”

Having an opportunity to share our region's food producing rock stars and their passionate stories to the nation is a fantastic way of highlighting the authentic Bundaberg experience which visitors can expect to have on holiday.

“From our world-class drink brands, our warm welcome, beautiful beaches and fresh tastes, who better to share their legacy and the place they call home, than the makers themselves. “

Lincoln Kirchner, Founder of The Seafood Smokery, said he looked forward to sharing his story with locals and visitors following the episode.

Taste of Australia with Hayden Quinn has a total whole-of-season audience of four million viewers and with the addition of their travel partnership with Wotif.com, this will see an additional one million people reached per episode and amplified 300,000 across the brands social platforms.
