Eight year old Australian Cattle dog’s Sonny and Matilda are looking for their new home, hoping to be rehomed together.
Available for adoption from RSPCA Bundaberg, Sonny and his best mate Matilda have been together for several years and their bond is very strong.
In an ideal world, RSPCA would like to rehome them together but are prepared to separate them if that is what is needed to get them a home.
They find themselves at the shelter with quite a chaotic past behind them and are now looking forward to a more peaceful future where they can hang out at home with their new family: chilling out on the couch, relaxing in the sun, having some fun ball games and lots of attention and love.
They are both cheerful, playful characters who love a good ball game and really enjoy the company of their people.
They both need to lose some weight but this can be easily achieved with regular exercise and sensible portions of a high quality diet.
Being slightly older dogs, they are not super high energy as some working breeds can be.
If they have some daily morning activities then they will happily chill out in the afternoon.
They have not lived with children in the past and so we would recommend older dog-savvy kids, preferably over 12 years old, who can understand that dogs have boundaries that need to be understood & respected.
Sonny and Matilda are available for adoption for $350 each and you can apply to adopt them here.
