SOCIAL BOWLS EVENTS

Tuesday 22nd November: $300 Open Triples Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm for a 1 pm start. The 2 bowl ‘Toucher Jackpot’ is currently $270.
Wednesday 23rd November: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – this is a fun game of Singles similar to consistency singles where points are allocated to the 4 closest bowls to the jack. Games are played over 12 ends with no driving allowed. Names in by 6.15pm with games starting at 6.30pm. Green fees are $8 with 50 percent of the green fees being returned as prizemoney. All ability levels are welcome so come along for a fun night out.
Thursday 24th November: ‘Thirsty Thursday’ Open Pairs. 3pm start, names by 2.30pm. Free drink (Sponsored) included in green fees. Games will finish at 5pm with two random lucky draws as prizes.
Thursday 24th November: Night Bowls – bowls start at 6.30pm, names in by 6pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made to feel very welcome.
Friday 25th November: Open Pairs (Men’s, Ladies, Mixed) 1pm start, names by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm. Enjoy some social bowls with the chance to win the Friday Jackpot which is $500.
Saturday 26th November: Open Pairs (Men’s, Ladies, Mixed) Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm for a 1pm start. The 2 bowl ‘Toucher Jackpot’ will be played after the game.
Tuesday 22nd November at 5.00pm – Special General Meeting to set Annual Membership Fees for 2023.
Sunday 4th December: Cookies Memorial Ham Day – Open Triples. Members from other Clubs are most welcome.
Club opening hours are – Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 10am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 10am – 9pm, Thursday 11am – 9pm, Friday 10am – 9pm, Saturday 10am – 6pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2pm.
The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night at 7pm. The Member’s Draw is now at $410, so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
Live entertainment for this Friday night the 25th November will be Tahli Thomas and the following Friday the 2nd December, live music will be delivered by ‘The Other Bloke’. Members, Guests, and Visitors are always welcome.
Woodgate Bowls Club
Ladies Day with the final of the Second Chance Open Women’s Singles between Fiona Dowling and Daphne Brettell as well as doubles and triples social games played.
An exciting game between Fiona and Daphne with some great shots, as befitted two top bowlers, played.
Fiona took the win over Daphne with Suzanne Weir marking, special thanks to Robyn Bishop who stood as umpire for the day.

Sunday 20 th November – 2022 State District Mixed Pairs – The Eight Teams that
progressed through to the Finals played 3 rounds of sectional play to determine the top 4
teams on Saturday and Sunday morning. The Winners were Adele Pershouse and Tim
Smith Bundaberg District, Second Lynda Brownen and Kurt Brown Sunshine Coast. Third
Place were Susan Mullen and Kane Nelson Gateway District who defeated the Mackay
team of Dealia Walsh and Pistol Blackburn. The Finals were two very close contests that
entertained a large crowd of spectators on Sunday afternoon. Men’s “B” Triples Final F.
