WIDE BAY BOWLS CLASSIC
The Wide Bay Classic commences this weekend 4th February. Division 1 Vs Maryborough at Burnett and Division 3 Vs Bargara B at Burnett. Please Note: Change to the draw – originally, Division 3 had a bye, but will now be playing this weekend. Teams selected for Division 3 will be posted on the Club noticeboard Tuesday.
COMPETITION
All 2023 Club Competitions have been drawn and are on the Competition boards at the Club. All members are asked to check the draws and start arranging games by mutual agreement. When playing your first round match you have to pay the $1 entry fee when paying your green fees.
Reminder: the first round of the Championship Pairs is to be played on or before Sunday 12th February 9.30am start. (Play, Sub, or Forfeit)
SOCIAL BOWLS EVENTS

Tuesday 31st January: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm for a 1 pm start. The 2 bowl ‘Toucher Jackpot’ will be played after the game.
Wednesday 1st February: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – this is a fun game of Singles similar to consistency singles where points are allocated to the 4 closest bowls to the jack. Games are played over 12 ends with no driving allowed. Names in by 6.15pm with games starting at 6.30pm. Green fees are $8 with 50 percent of the green fees being returned as prizemoney. All ability levels are welcome so come along for a fun night out.
Thursday 2nd February: ‘Thirsty Thursday’ Open Pairs. 3pm start, names by 2.30pm. Free drink (Sponsored) included in green fees. Games will finish at 5pm with two random lucky draws as prizes.
Thursday 2nd February: Night Bowls – bowls start at 6.30pm, names in by 6pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made to feel very welcome.
Friday 3rd February: Open Pairs (Men’s, Ladies, Mixed) 1pm start, names by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm. Enjoy some social bowls with the chance to win the Friday Jackpot which is $50.

CLUB NEWS
Club opening hours are – Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 10am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 10am – 9pm, Thursday 11am – 9pm, Friday 10am – 9pm, Saturday 10am – 9pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2pm.
The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night at 7pm. The Member’s Draw is now $110, so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
Live entertainment for this Friday night the 3rd February will be ‘The Other Bloke’ and the following Friday the 10th February, live music will be delivered by Bradz Rock N Rhythm – Members, Guests, and Visitors are always welcome.
