Landscapes of all shapes, sizes, colours and forms make up the Bundaberg Art Society’s latest exhibition from its members.
More than 50 landscape artworks by 26 local artists will proudly be on display for one month at the Bundaberg Art Society.
President Marilyn Batty said by having the theme of In Our Landscape it allowed the contributing artists to have a varied subject field.
“From what I have seen so far the members have created some stunning artworks for this exhibition,” Marilyn said.
“They never let us down and working in any medium leaves each artist free to express themselves in whatever medium they prefer.
“A theme of In Our Landscape leaves it open to the artist’s interpretation.”
Marilyn said some of the pieces were inspired by local areas and the exhibition included landscapes from the Hummock and Woodgate to name a few.
“We have everything in this exhibition, from charcoal to water colour through to sculpture and mixed medium work,” she said.
“There are 56 works from 26 artist in total.
“We have many award-winning artists as members who hang alongside rank beginners as we all share our knowledge and encourage all levels to join our group.”
In Our Landscapes will open 6.30 pm today at Bundaberg Art Society and be held for one month, in the Hazzard Gallery at 95c Walker Street, Bundaberg.
Community members wishing to check it out can head along between 9 am and 1 pm on both Saturday and Sunday of the opening weekend, and 9 am to noon each Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday thereafter.
