Stallholders looking to be part of the fun and action at this year’s Childers Festival have a limited time left to register an expression of interest.

Local people are encouraged to be part of the popular Bundaberg Regional Council festival, which closes down the highway once a year during July, with more than 40,000 people in attendance.

Arts, Culture and Events portfolio spokesperson Cr John said due to overwhelming demand stallholder applications would be closing soon.

“Those hoping to hold a stall at this year's festival are encouraged to apply as soon as possible,” he said.

“Each year the festival attracts tens of thousands of people to Childers to take in the unique and happy atmosphere.

“It’s the perfect opportunity for those selling art, craft, food, and anything in between, to set up a stall, show off their talents and reach a wider customer base.”

The annual Childers Festival will be held over four days, from 27 to 30 July.

Stallholder site fees go towards the rising cost of the operational requirement of delivering the much-loved Childers Festival each year.
