Country lad Cooper looking for a new home

As a kelpie-mix breed, Cooper is smart, energetic and ready to go, he also has a beautiful and affectionate side and loves hanging out with his favourite people.

Cooper has visions of running across paddocks, swimming in dams, accompanying his people in their activities and then relaxing at home after a busy day on the land.

As a kelpie-mix breed, Cooper is smart, energetic and ready to go, he also has a beautiful and affectionate side and loves hanging out with his favourite people.

The 18-month-old boy enjoys the wide-open spaces and the joys of living on the land.

Bundaberg RSPCA staff said being a backyard town dog just won’t be Cooper’s thing.

“He would be your ideal companion if you live on acreage and are looking for a co-pilot to join you in your day-to-day activities,” staff said.

“He has had some training prior to coming to the shelter but we don’t know his history as he turned up as a stray.

“He has made a couple of dog friends at the shelter and may be able to live with another canine companion.

“We are looking for someone who has experience of working breeds for this guy,” staff said.

“They will understand the need that these dogs have to be busy.

“They are genetically wired to work for hours and if appropriate outlets for this high energy are not provided then behavioural issues may arise.”

Cooper’s adoption price is $450 and he comes vet checked, vaccinated and desexed. To find our more click here.
