CQUniversity's Bundaberg Campus will be opening its doors to future students this week for the university’s annual open day on Thursday 10 August.

With more than 250 study options on offer at CQU, ranging from short courses, certificates, and diplomas to undergraduate, postgraduate and research higher degrees, prospective students will have the opportunity to explore a variety of pathways.

CQUniversity Marketing Officer Chelsea Warburton said the open day event was a great way for those interested in tertiary education to discover firsthand what it was like to study at university.

“The ‘Future You at CQU’ information sessions will help attendees learn more about CQU, how we can support you to be what you want to be and walk you through your next steps in getting there,” she said.

“For more personal support, attendees can also grab a treat or something to drink at the Careers Café and speak to support staff about career goals, how to apply, entry pathways and anything you need to know about studying.”

Chelsea said there would be a range of interactive activities across the campus facilities, including selected labs and learning spaces.

“Featured sessions will cover medical science (Pathway to Medicine), engineering, nursing and occupational therapy,” Chelsea said.

“Here you can chat one-on-one with our expert lecturers and teaching teams to find out more about courses of interest and work placements.”

CQU's open day is a free community event open to everyone.

Those planning to attend can register online for a welcome pack on arrival.

For those unable to attend, a virtual open day event will be held Thursday 31 August, from 4 pm to 7 pm to help answer questions from the comfort of home.
