Tuesday 8th of August: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm for a 1 pm start.
Wednesday 9th of August: ‘Scroungers’ Singles – this is a fun game of Singles like consistency singles where points are allocated to the 4 closest bowls to the jack. Games are played over 12 ends with no driving allowed. Names in by 6.15pm with games starting at 6.30pm. Green fees are $10 with 50 percent of the green fees being returned as prize money. All ability levels are welcome so come along for a fun night out.
Thursday 10th of August: ‘Social Thursday’ Open Pairs (Men’s, Ladies, Mixed). Names in by 2.15pm as games will commence at 2.30pm. Play till 4.30pm with 2 random lucky draws as prizes.
Thursday 10th of August: Night Bowls – bowls start at 6.30pm, names in by 6pm. Bowl under lights and enjoy a fun filled night with a chance at the ‘Pick the Joker’ Jackpot which will be $88+ this week. Visitors and those that want to try bowls for the first time will be made to feel very welcome.
Friday 11th of August: Open Pairs – Men’s, Ladies, Mixed. Names in by 12pm, green fees paid by 12.45pm for a 1 pm start. The Friday Jackpot will be $90.

The change in September only is the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays will be swapped as the Ipswich bowlers are visiting on the 12th of September (2nd Tues) and they wish to play triples.

CLUB NEWS
Club opening hours are – Monday (Club closed), Tuesday 10am – 5.30pm, Wednesday 11am – 9pm, Thursday 2pm – 9pm, Friday 10am – 9pm, Saturday 10am – 9pm (10pm for Functions) Sunday Bowls Days 9am – 2pm.
The Goose Club raffle will be drawn on Friday night at 7pm. The Member’s Draw was not won last week and will now be $190, so come along, have a meal and a few drinks with the chance to win some great cash and prizes.
Live entertainment for this Friday night the 11th of August will be Brads Rock and Rythem ‘and the following Friday the 18th of August live music will be The Other Bloke’. Members, Guests, and Visitors are always welcome.

Ladies Day with a semi final of mixed pairs, as well as a game in the Open Ladies Consistency.
Ladies Open Consistency was a hard fought game between Jacquie Rogerson and Robyn Bishop.
Jacquie emerging the winner after twenty five ends, 124/116.
The semi final of the Open Pairs between Team Taylor and Team Byrnes was a game of two of the giant combinations in our club.

Let’s start with a huge thank you to the NRMA Caravan Park for sponsoring todays challenge cup to the tune of $500.
We appreciate your support and we are grateful to our southern friends who come every year to swell our numbers and give us a new dimension in fun and friendship…..not to mention different opponents to play with and against!
The competition has been fierce for over forty years with Woodgate taking the lead at the moment.
Woodgate emerged winners today with a total of ten winning rinks and 302 points to the Parks four winning rinks for a score of 212 points.
