Oceanfest Bundaberg is back in 2023, showcasing the local wild catch seafood harvested from the Southern Great Barrier Reef and Bundaberg waters.
Delighting all members of the family, Oceanfest will feature market stalls, art activities and live entertainment, with a range of ocean-orientated attractions, demonstrations and workshops on offer.
Hosted by the Rotary Club of Bundaberg Sunrise, Oceanfest will be held in the picturesque Port Marina precinct on Saturday 26 August.
Oceanfest coordinator Glenn Hoffmann said due to the enormous success of last year’s event, the Rotary Club of Bundaberg Sunrise members were pleased to bring the award-winning community event back in 2023.
“Oceanfest 2022 saw an estimated 10,000 people through the gates and raised over $37,500 for various local charitable causes and not for profit organisations,” Mr Hoffmann said.
The Reef Room
An Oceanfest favourite, The Reef Room is returning with environmental displays and educational conversations.
The Reef Room will host presentations from the Bundaberg Regional Council, Gladstone Ports Corporation, Kalie State School and Sea Turtle Alliance.
Marina Marquee
After selling out last year, the Marina Marquee – Taste the Reef luncheon will be a highlight of Oceanfest.
Delicious seafood platters presented by Rotary Club of Bundaberg Sunrise in conjunction with their hospitality partner, Ocean Pacific Seafoods will be on the menu with nibbles and bubbles on arrival.

Bundaberg Regional Council is proud to support Oceanfest through a Partnerships and Sponsorships grant awarded to Sunrise Rotary, with $5000 in funding offered between 2022 and 2023.
