Ace is a distinguished older gentleman waiting at Red Collar Rescue to find a new home where he can put down some roots.
At seven years old, he would prefer the company of another older dog if the family is out for long periods of the day.
While Ace likes children, staff at Red Collar Rescue said it probably wouldn't suit him to live with any.
Being a purebred cocker spaniel, Ace requires regular grooming to maintain his beautiful coat and also has a small fold on his lip that needs care to ensure it doesn’t get infected.

Since 2009/10, Red Collar Rescue have rescued and re-homed over 4800 dogs.
Their aim is always to find the right home for the right dog.
Red Collar Rescue take in death row dogs from various locations throughout the region and give them temporary refuge before finding their forever families.
Prices range from $450 upwards and all dogs are microchipped, vaccinated, desexed and tested for heart-worm.
