Meat Loaf: The Concert is a show-stopping tribute touring to the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre in February, celebrating the unique style and hits of iconic singer, Meat Loaf.

Meat Loaf was known and acclaimed for his powerful, wide-ranging voice and theatrical live shows.

Teaming up with his long-time collaborator and friend Jim Steinman in 1977 he released the operatic rock album Bat Out of Hell.

This record is one of the largest selling albums with over 43 million in sales worldwide and is critically hailed as one of history’s most important albums of all time.

Meat Loaf: The Concert is an authentic tribute show featuring an eight-piece band fronted by lead singer Rick Szabo.

Being no stranger to the role, Rick performed as lead vocalist in The Australian Meat Loaf Tribute Show from 1989 to 2004.

He said the audience could expect a non-stop journey reliving the best songs of Meat Loaf and Jim Steinman.

“Meat Loaf and Steinman were renowned for their Pavarotti meets Chuck Berry style approach to rock and roll,” Rick said.

“We deliver this show exactly the way the fans want to hear it complete with the theatrics, screaming guitars, and lots of vocals.

“The music is still so popular with fans as it is a soundtrack to their youth and anything that makes you feel young again is good for the soul.”

Fans will be treated to performances of hit songs including Bat Out of Hell, Paradise by the Dashboard Light, You Took the Words Right Out of My Mouth (Hot Summer Night), Two Out of Three Ain’t Bad, and many more Meat Loaf favourites.

Songs from Jim Steinman’s vast collection, originally performed by artists such as Bonnie Tyler and Celine Dion, will also be delivered during the show.

During the performance there will be a surprise for Rocky Horror fans too.

“This music is timeless and it’s powerful to perform,” Rick said.

“Millions of people the world over love this and although Meat Loaf has passed, his music will live on forever.”
