Award-winning Australian rock band The Rubens are set to perform under the spotlight at the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre for their Black Balloon tour.
The Rubens had sold over 10,000 tickets during their East Coast Good Mood Australian Summer Tour and they are heading back out on the road to visit nine major centres across Queensland in May.
The Rubens are a five-piece alternative rock band consisting of the three Margin brothers, Zaac, Sam and Elliott, and long-term friends Scott Baldwin and William Zeglis.
Their self-titled debut album released in 2012 was a resounding success nationally.
This success saw The Rubens sell out numerous national tours, perform at every major Australian music festival and support several major acts, including Bruce Springsteen, The Black Keys and Grouplove.
In 2016 The Ruben’s Hoops took out top prize in Triple J’s Hottest 100, then in 2023 the band released two new singles – Good Mood and Pets and Drugs, with both songs featuring highly on Triple J’s Hottest 200.
Now with the release of Liquid Gold in February, the group is set for a huge year of music.
The Rubens will be supported on their Black Balloon tour by Sunshine Coast band Betty Taylor and special guests.
