The Bundaberg community is invited to help fight the stigma of mental health one meal at a time with Beyond Blue’s Big Blue Table.
This October during Mental Health Month, Beyond Blue is calling for locals to share a meal, start meaningful conversations and help raise funds for those facing anxiety, depression and suicide.
A Beyond Blue spokesperson said getting together for a meal with friends, family and co-workers could do wonders for your mental health and now, it could also help people all across Australia.
“Nearly half of us will experience a mental health condition in our lifetime — so let’s ensure that no one struggles alone,” the spokesperson said.
“Whether hosting a pot-luck lunch at home, decking your office out in blue, or having a picnic in the park, each meal you have can lead to life-saving conversations.
“Receive a free host kit with conversation starters, decorations and more to help you host a Big Blue Table.”
With registrations now open, residents of the Bundaberg Region can join the impactful initiative aimed at fostering conversations about mental health and breaking down stigma.
Register yourself, workplace or school here and receive a free host kit with conversation starters, decorations and more to help you host a Big Blue Table.
