Local businesses set to shine at awards event

Business Excellence Awards
Bundaberg businesses were on show at the recent Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.

Local businesses that showcase ingenuity, resilience, and commitment across the Bundaberg Region will be highlighted at the upcoming Business Excellence Awards.

The Bundaberg Chamber of Commerce event was launched this week with nominations now open across multiple categories.

President Tim Sayre said the awards recognised and highlighted achievements, and ultimately encouraged all businesses in the region to strive for excellence.

“The awards are about recognising innovation, sustainability and excellence across all industry sectors and business sizes,” he said.

“It’s a chance to showcase the excellent work that local businesses do.”

The award process this year has been simplified as an online application to be submitted by 4 pm Friday 1 November, 2024.

  • You can nominate your own business or acknowledge other businesses in the community.
  • Nominations can be made at www.bundabergchamber.com.au.
  • Once a business is nominated they can then submit their online application in their chosen category.
  • This year categories range from micro, small, medium and large businesses.
  • Business categories also focus on customer service, marketing, community service excellence, customer service excellence, innovation, growth, promoting sustainability and new to this year – the Young Business Person Award.

Bank of Queensland Bundaberg has partnered with the Bundaberg and District Chamber of Commerce as the platinum sponsor once again, and has committed to the event for the next two years.

“We have some amazing businesses in our community,” Tim said.

“What better way to recognise them with a Business Excellence Award nomination?

“There is much to celebrate about the strength, resilience and innovation of local businesses large and small.”
