Meet Mr Fox, the border collie mix, who didn’t have the best start to life but is now hoping for a new family to take him home from Bundaberg RSPCA and show him love.
Bundaberg RSPCA staff said Mr Fox was in a situation where the people who should have cared for him turned out to be unpredictable.
“With this in mind, we are looking for a very special home for our very special Mr Fox,” staff said.
“He needs a patient, kind and understanding home where he can build that trust up.
“He needs someone who understands canine anxiety and can clearly read dog body language.”
Mr Fox is smart but simple things like quick movements or getting into a car worry him and he can feel panicked.
Therefore, staff said he would need slow positive exposure to new and novel things to be able to create positive associations with situations that may frighten him.
Mr Fox is 15 months old, he comes desexed, vaccinated and microchipped, for an adoption price of $450.
If you think he might be the perfect fit for your family, fill out an adoption application here.
