As Easter weekend and Anzac Day public holidays approach, Bundaberg Regional Council is advising the community several Council services and facilities will be impacted.
Some Council facilities will be closed, while others will reduce or alter their opening hours for the public holidays on 18, 21 and 25 April.
Council Service Centres, Bundaberg Regional Libraries, Bundaberg Regional Galleries and the Moncrieff Entertainment Centre will be closed on the four-day Easter weekend and Anzac Day.
Other Council facilities detailed below will have amended hours over the public holidays.
Alexandra Park Zoo
During the Queensland school holidays the Zoo is open every day from 9.30 am – 4.30 pm. Closed Anzac Day.
Hinkler Hall of Aviation
Closed Good Friday and Anzac Day. Open 10 am to 3 pm on Easter Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Don’t forget Local residents get a special entry deal.
Fairymead House
Closed Good Friday and Anzac Day. See more information about Fairymead House.
Public swimming pools
All Pools will still operate on public holiday hours on 19 and 20 April.
Norville Park pool will be closed on Good Friday but open from 7 am to 5 pm on Easter Monday and Anzac Day.
Isis Swimming Pool will close Easter Friday but will operate 11 am – 5 pm Saturday, Sunday, Easter Monday and Anzac Day.
Gin Gin Pool will be closed on Good Friday but operate on public holiday hours, 11 am – 5 pm, on 19 and 20 April.
Gin Gin Swimming Pool closes for the swim season at 5pm Monday 21 April.

Waste management facilities
Residents are advised only the Bundaberg Waste Facility, located on University Drive, will operate as usual from Friday to Monday.
All other facilities including Qunaba, Childers, Tirroan, Woodgate, Avondale, Meadowvale and South Kolan will be closed from 18 to 21 April, with most reopening on Tuesday as per normal opening hours. All facilities except Bundaberg Waste Facility will close again on 25 April in observance of Anzac Day.
Our dedicated waste and recycling team will still collect household bins on Friday 18 April, Monday 21 April and Friday 25 April. To ensure smooth collection, on public holidays, please place your wheelie bins on the kerbside the night before collection.
All recycled goods shops will be closed on 18, 19, 20, 21 and 25 April.

Bundaberg Animal Management Facility (Pound)
Closed on Good Friday, Easter Monday and Anzac Day. There will be a staff member on call that can be contacted on 1300 883 699.
