Freya is a beautiful dog who has had a tough start to life and is waiting to find her forever family at RSPCA Bundaberg.

RSPCA staff said she would form a very strong attachment to her person but would also require a lot of time, patience and understanding.

At just over a year old, Freya grew up in a backyard and saw nothing of the outside world before coming to the shelter.

She was very frightened of people when she first arrived but once she realised she was safe, she became strongly bonded to members of staff.

While she tolerates other dogs, Freya would best suit a home where she can get the full attention she needs to build up her confidence.

She is currently living in a quieter area of the shelter and will need more than one meet and greet prior to adoption in order to start building a bond.

Freya can also be placed in foster care with the most suitable application and then formally adopted if it is the right fit.
