Bundaberg Regional Council is inviting tenders for the lease of the café/kiosk space located at the new Bundaberg Aquatic Centre.
The tender presents a unique opportunity to establish a vibrant destination café, servicing not only patrons of the aquatic centre but also the surrounding business community and general public.
The purpose-built café, situated inside the aquatic centre, has been designed with dual access to maximise its potential to attract customers from both within the facility and externally.
With a lease area of 108 square metres, the premises includes a commercially fitted kitchen, adjoining staff amenities, and ample surrounding seating areas.
Council is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced operator who can enhance the visitor experience at the aquatic centre and offer value to the broader community.
The successful lessee will be expected to work collaboratively with Council and aquatic centre management to deliver services and activities that reflect the centre’s purpose and audience.
The café must be capable of providing food and refreshments that support the centre’s wide range of users, which include rehabilitation clients, squad training groups, swimming lesson participants, and general recreational swimmers.
Catering will also be required to service larger events which may be held at the site including regional carnivals or competitions, and state events.
Bundaberg Regional Council encourages proposals from tenants with a strong track record in hospitality, community engagement, and customer service, who can deliver a menu and service offering aligned to the aquatic centre’s operations and high visitor traffic.
