Eight weeks of free activities to keep your fitness goals in check

Be Active, Be Alive has begun in the Bundaberg Region.

There’s no more excuses when it comes to procrastinating about health and fitness with the start of free, region-wide exercise classes!

Bundaberg Regional Council’s Be Active, Be Alive program has begun, providing eight weeks of fun-filled fitness activities to partake in throughout the region.

Sport and Recreation portfolio spokesperson Cr Helen Blackburn said the programs included water aerobics, Zumba classes, dancing, box fit and more and were all free to participate in.

“Each program is run by a professional instructor in a park or pool,” Cr Blackburn said.

“Be Active, Be Alive starts from Monday, 4 February and runs until the end of March, with over 160 classes to suit everybody and every fitness level.”

Cr Blackburn said it was easy to become involved in Be Active- Be Alive and a great opportunity to not only improve health and fitness but also provided social interaction and fun.

“There is no sign up process, you simply go when you want to!” she said.

“This is truly a fantastic program which will not only keep you fit but will also have you meeting new people, making friends and checking out some of the great open spaces and facilities on offer in our region.”
