Paper planes were flying high at the Hinkler Hall of Aviation today as part of a school holiday activity for kids.

Hundreds of children made the most of the event, creating planes of all different shapes and designs inside the venue before moving outside to the “runway” for a take off.

Bundaberg mother Carmen McEneany said the school holiday fun had provided something different for her family to get involved in.

“What a great day to come out!” she said.

“I have my stepdad here from New Zealand and thought he can go through the hall while the kids are making paper planes.

“I loved how it was set out with instructions.”

The school holiday event will be held again on Wednesday, 10 July from 9am to 12 noon.

Families can go in the draw to win great prizes just by bringing along the Junior Aviator’s Club card or by joining on the day.
